Jake Segraves is a Technical Director, Videographer, and Editor based in Carlsbad, California, with over 30 years of experience in broadcast, corporate, and podcast production. He began his career at CineForm, providing technical support for clients including Disney, Technicolor, and NASA, before joining GoPro following their acquisition of CineForm in 2011.
At GoPro he advanced to Senior Technical Producer on the Advanced Technologies team, contributing to the development of machine learning-based smart editing tools now built into GoPro's software.
His freelance credits include serving as Assistant Editor on the Netflix action feature Hidden Strike, starring Jackie Chan and John Cena, Camera Operator on music videos and concert documentaries for Alkaline Trio and Angels & Airwaves, and work for clients including Apple, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Tony Robbins, and Cathy Waterman Jewelry.
He currently serves as Technical Director and Editor for the #1 ranked Self-Improvement podcast in the United States, a 2025 Gracie Award Winner for Best Podcast (Lifestyle) and 2025 Webby Award nominee.
