hands of fate

created for the 2013 48 hour film project in san diego by team ‘state of flux’.

we had 48 hours to write, film, edit and deliver a short film.

the genre we drew was “sci-fi”.

elements we were required to use:

character: mac or margaret mccarthy, interpreter
prop: a garden hose
line of dialog: “you know what i mean?”

production notes:

filmed in carlsbad, leucadia and cardiff-by-the-sea, california
shot with the blackmagic cinema camera
canon 17-55mm & tokina 11-16mm lenses
and a few shots from a sony nex-5n with 16mm lens
edited in adobe premiere pro cc
color corrected using gopro cineform studio.

This was just a test!
Shot handheld on BMCC with Canon 10-22mm ( a little on the shaky side…did i mention this was handheld? )
